“BET WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE”
Do
Do Not
“GAMBLING BECOMES A PROBLEM WHEN YOU HAVE TROUBLE STOPPING“
Believe in Luck
“If I keep gambling, my luck will change, and I’ll win back the money I’ve lost.”
Each time you place a bet; the outcome is completely independent of the previous one. That means that the odds are no more in your favor on the tenth bet than they were on the first bet. Over time, the more you risk, the more you lose.
The Illusion of an Approaching Win
“I almost won; I must be due for a win”
Future gambling outcomes are in no way influenced by previous outcomes.
Biased Memory
Punters only remember the experience of winning. However, do you realize how much you have lost?
Gambling is a way to make easy money
Gambling is just a source of entertainment. Don’t treat it as an activity in which you can win money.
The more experience the more chances of winning
Even if you have 20 years’ experience playing slot machines, you can never guess what the next outcome will be. Every gambling result is a random probability and therefore can’t be predicted according to experience.
