Nalongo Rebecca Nassimbwa Nsumba Joins NLGRB Board
An accomplished lawyer and tax expert, Nalongo Rebecca Nassimbwa Nsumba brings over three decades of legal and tax administration experience to the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board. A Gayaza High School alumna (1979–1985), she studied Law at Makerere University (1985–1988), completed her LDC training in 1989, and holds a Diploma in Income Tax Administration from the former Institute of Public Administration (now UMI).
An accomplished lawyer and tax expert, Nalongo Rebecca Nassimbwa Nsumba brings over three decades of legal and tax administration experience to the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board. A Gayaza High School alumna (1979–1985), she studied Law at Makerere University (1985–1988), completed her LDC training in 1989, and holds a Diploma in Income Tax Administration from the former Institute of Public Administration (now UMI).
She served as Assessor of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance (1989–1992), then at URA’s Domestic Taxes Department until 2011, retiring as Manager in the Large Tax Department. She later worked with the World Bank as a Large Tax Compliance Advisor to Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service (2012–2013).
Nalongo Rebecca has represented Uganda at international tax conferences in France, South Africa, and Malaysia. She is a member of FIDA (Association of Female Lawyers), a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Makindye, and now proudly serves as a Board Member of the NLGRB
