The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (‘The Board’’) was established in 2016 under the Lotteries and Gaming Act Cap 334 with a mandate to supervise and regulate the establishment, management and operations of the lotteries, gaming, betting and casinos in Uganda, and to protect the citizens from the adverse effects of gaming and betting in Uganda.

Job Title: Senior Finance Officer (Good Causes Fund)

Job purpose
To analyse revenue performance from the gaming sector with a view to getting optimal returns and reconciliation of the good causes fund
Key duties and responsibilities
- To analyse revenue performance from Gaming and provide analytical briefing.
- To prepare monthly, quarterly and annual revenue reports and briefs
- Prepare Revenue forecasts from the gaming sector
- To monitor and reconcile inflows and outflows from the good causes fund in line with established guidelines.
- Prepare reports on performance of the good causes fund
- Guide management on policy reviews for effective administration and collection of revenue in the gaming sector.
- Develop a departmental risk register and periodically update it.
- Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) roll out and culture.
Person specifications
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in either Commerce (Accounting option) or Business Administration (Accounting option) or Business Studies (Accounting option) or Finance and Accounting (Accounting option) from a recognized University.
- A professional accounting qualifications (such as CPA and ACCA),
Working experience
At least Three (3) years working experience as a Finance Officer or Accountant or an equivalent level from a reputable organization.
